Implementation science aims to facilitate the uptake of evidence-based interventions for regular use by practitioners and policy makers. In 2023, the main outputs of the Hub focused on its training and capacity-sharing activities, particularly in LMICs. Hub members were invited by the TDR Group (Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, co-sponsored by UNICEF, UNDP, the World Bank, and WHO) to co-develop an online, open-access, standardised curriculum in implementation science.

In addition, through the inclusion of an implementation science module in the Master of Global Health and the 2023 Severo Ochoa International Spring School, more than 500 students from around the world, mainly from LMIC such as Nigeria and the Ghana, were introduced to the main aims, methods and approaches of the discipline.

We also began exploring potential collaborations with DNDi and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), where we can offer our expertise in implementation science.
