Our Hub uses innovative tools and methods to study multiple environmental exposures throughout our lives, starting from conception, and their combined effect on our health.

This year, the Hub received European funding for a Coordinated Support Action (CSA) to lead a global network on exposome research, together with the University of Utrecht. The Hub also organised an internal debate with 35 researchers, resulting in new collaborations and grant applications, as well as a series of internal seminars.

Introducing young researchers to exposome methods is also part of the Hub’s mission. Two of our resarchers offered a free course to a Spanish-speaking audience at the 2023 Severo Ochoa International Winter School: 70% of the 185 registered students, researchers and public health officials from 28 countries (mostly Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil) attended the entire course.
